The principle of rotary evaporator

2021-03-01

The principle of a rotary evaporator is to use an infinitely variable speed motor to drive a glass rotary bottle to rotate at a high speed and uniform speed, that is, centrifugal action, to make the material uniformly adhere to the glass bottle wall in a large area, forming a uniform thin film. Then, the intelligent constant temperature water bath is used to uniformly heat the rotary bottle, causing the temperature of the rotary bottle to continuously rise. Because the bottle is under vacuum, the material evaporates at high temperature and high speed under vacuum conditions, Then the solvent vapor is cooled through an efficient condenser, and the cooled material is collected through a collection bottle, completing the evaporation and recovery of the material. That is to say, through several processes such as emission, heating, evaporation, condensation, and collection, the material changes its function through these physical changes, and to test whether its performance requirements meet production needs

The production process is basically similar to that of distilled water, but the process and principle used are not quite the same. The main brackets are made of stainless steel and aluminum alloy, with a reasonable structure, sturdy, beautiful, and durable; The glass part is also made of high borosilicate glass, which is heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant; The condenser adopts a serpentine coil, with dual main and auxiliary condensers, ensuring high efficiency and high recovery rate; The control system adopts a microcomputer type power switch control, which is much more convenient; There are also functions such as LCD display, ultra-high temperature, automatic power off protection, etc.
